Introduction

A city is a multi-purpose, a tent for many functions, raised by many hands (Kevin Lynch, 1960).

A city equipped to make a safety asset, in self, must have a clear democration between what is public space and private space (Jane Jacob, 1961).

A city is a living organism, and modern urbanism has provided the world with a vast legacy of diminished expectations, if architecture has a single obyective (Thom Mayne, 1993).

Architecture cannot remain confined in conventional functions of designing an individual good building here and there. Urban proverty has reached unprecedented levels and architectural heritage will be under threat as the urban populations of the developing countries (Ismail Serageldin, 1995).

Concervation of the old town involves not only the restoration and re-use of historic buildings, bul also the provision of contemporary infrastructure (Arif Hassan), 1995).

Another face, practicing architect and students rush to imitate what they see in the architectural media (i.e. minimalism, etc.) in the modern metropolis and loss their local identity.
